thanks uwe! a pretty easy way to get mp3 alarm on the ipod ! :]

i even understood the text translated by google translate, sweet and simple. thanks again ! =]

It is so that the iPod Touch from the 2nd Generation seems to have speakers with whom we can manufacture more than just Gepiepe. All the more surprising that one of the iPod has not taught to select your own playlist on the internal clock, or made other modifications in this respect has.
For my part I was tired of it. The. M4r file "harp" sounds like to still be nice, but in the long run one would not have even raise them. No, not even the barking of dogs, duck or Raumschiffgezische are not among the sounds that I want to hear in the morning. Really.

Do not ask me what kind of circumstances have prevented the developers on an official solution and prevent yet. The fact is that one's own songs, with more detours may even than. Use mp3 for wake up. Condition is, who would have thought it, the evil black rain (Blackra1n), his label 1-click solution for the so-called Jailbreak.
Once this is accomplished, there is to click a black rain, you can install Cydia and install from Cydia home from "openssh". Secure Shell, in turn, can be used to directly access the iPod. Whether you now want to do with putty, because it is via the command line, or you would rather graphically accomplished with WinSCP does not matter. In normal result of user name "root" and password "alpine" for access.

The path / private / var / stash / Ringtones leads to the goal, in this are the ring tones and available Wecksounds. . m4r, the ending is, r as Ringtone. Where clear.
Normally one also has iTunes, if you have an iPod (unless there are any alternatives sympathetic, easier, better.) Subsequent conversion programs you can install save yourself properly.

There is now a snap. Mp3 of his choice, shipping them to a playlist in iTunes and performs, right click -> create AAC version. For a while, depending on system performance, patience and a beep after one has a 2nd Version of the song in the list are available. This in turn means you can right click -> In Windows Explorer find the answers. The "universal path" should, at least under Windows Vista C: \ Users his \ username \ Music \ iTunes \ iTunes Media \ Music \. Now quickly the ending. M4a Change. M4r, grab the file via putty or WinSCP to / private / var / stash / Ringtones (Ringtones still comes after a string which is presumably created individual copy).

And lo and behold: the alarm clock now like to see additional options, the user to snap out of sleep cuddling. (At the moment I can think of no better song than Aura Dione - I Will Love You Monday.) It is also possible to remove the unspeakable default sounds, WinSCP behaves like an FTP client to use.
Mandatory: always very careful to handle and have a backup on hand to save yourself trouble.
(There are also plenty of opportunities to retrofit with all sorts of colorful Apps alarm. But I was the preferred method, because the remains more or less natively, you can go to sleep to iPod easily, no program works constantly and must be activated to be open "snooze" and perfect.

Addendum: Perhaps it helps one or the other times. The fact is that with the current approach can not simply switch off the device to restart (that is correct and) start again, because then you erstmal only get the USB cable and the icon of iTunes to see, iTunes does not recognize the device and it really wants to restore. That would be pure stress, imagine times before you forget to recharge the battery and the next morning to stare at this screen. Clear Remedy: If the device is restarted run always blackra1n.exe, disappeared a few seconds of patience and lo and behold, the restoration or the desire for it is. I'm no pro, but would tell me, that would not be a permanent process and something disappears when the battery is put to sleep. So either the iPod kept under continuous current (why should it off too? Or. Exe in mind - have only just received a panic. The side note I thought worth mentioning was just surprised me greatly.
